Upward Bound Graduates

Congratulations to LHS Seniors Emily Ramirez, Cathy Luna, and Madelis Ramero on receiving their Upward Bound Cords! These girls participated in the South Plains College Upward Bound Program, which helps LHS students prepare for college entrance. It provides opportunities for participants to succeed in their pre-college performance and higher education pursuits. Students in the Upward Bound Program also get academic instruction in mathematics, laboratory sciences, composition, literature, and foreign languages, and learn about different universities. This program is an asset for all high-school students, especially these three girls who completed the program. Way to go, girls! And once again, thank you, SPC, for providing another valuable program for our LISD students!
