BBQ Team Places 7th!

LHS Culinary teacher and BBQ Team Coach Khris Oaks #expectsexcellence and shares that her BBQ Team kids did awesome at the State High School BBQ Competition! Out of 109 teams, they placed 7th! They received 3rd place for their dessert and 7th place for the ribs. They even won a Pitboss Barrel smoker for completing the Texas Beef Council Program. This BBQ Team is not for the faint of heart. They often get up way before the sun comes up to prepare and get everything started, and then stay late into the day to turn in their tastiest food. We are proud of them! We thank Mrs. Oaks for the great job she does in leading our students to success now and after high school.
