CTE Spotlight: LOBO Tech Class Learn Career Skills

LISD is Spotlighting our Career and Technical Education classes offered in the district because February is CTE Month. LISD offers many CTE courses that students cannot get anywhere else, offering more opportunities that open doors in their future. We are starting with our LOBO Tech Class, taught by Teresa Carter, Scott Lawson, and Angie Mohon. Can you imagine taking apart a computer, repairing it, and putting it back together? In the LOBO Tech computer maintenance class, they do just that.  Students learn about technology's core concepts and the various approaches to solving problems, including engineering design and experimentation. They learn to repair electronic devices of various kinds throughout the district. The group of three boys just repaired a larger printer/scanner by researching to figure out the part needed, ordering it, and replacing it. It works great again! The other group is working on repairing a laptop that will be up and running soon. This course offers students a great way to explore a career for their future. LISD is so thankful to have the LOBO Tech CTE course for students because it offers a great way to explore a career for their future.
