CTE Month: Yearbook Design

It's CTE month, and we continue to celebrate with the LHS students in Mrs. Buckner's 2021 Yearbook Class.  They have learned to make a page using a grid sheet, and today they are practicing rules of magazine spread design using food. Graham crackers represented photos, skittles had to be captions, m&ms were stories, and licorice strings were eye lines.  Students arranged the food items to make sure the page was pleasing to the eye and flowed well for readers.  Although the yearbook is created using online technology, it's fun to throw in a new learning way. Students loved this hands-on design day and discovered that one red skittles & two m&ms taste like chocolate-covered strawberries together!  Thank you, Mrs. Buckner, for making learning "sweet" and for teaching a skill that students can choose as a career!
