We continue celebrating CTE Month and have to brag on LISD's Gloria Gamez. She received the Vocational Adjustment Coordinator Certificate through the Texas Association of Adjustment Coordinators after accepting the Opportunity Center position. She completed sixty clock hours of specified training in job development, job analysis, student assessment, job placement, on-the-job training, sustaining employment, and transition. As the Vocational Adjustment Coordinator, Gloria is responsible for providing special education transition services to students that are 14-22 years old. The Opportunity Center's goal is to enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully on the job and in the community after high school. Thank you, Mrs. Gamez for bettering yourself so that you can make children their best on the job!
