Jefferson Marshall Visits CTEd Class

We have introduced you to Jefferson Marshall before. He is an LHS English teacher and has published his first two books in his Texas State Parks Adventures series. But this month is CTE month, and students in Mrs. Kathy Oliver's English Fundamentals CTEd Class enjoyed listening to Mr. Marshall's first book, The Creatures of Caprock Canyon. The students knew that Mr. Marshall was coming to visit them, and they came up with inquisitive questions for him like: How did you decide on the names of your characters? (They were his real childhood friends.) How old were you when you first camped out? (His family always loved the outdoors, and he thinks he was about five.) Mr. Marshall taught the students how to build a tent, he allowed them to see his sleeping bags and camping chairs, camping gear, and they enjoyed s'mores over a real campfire! SPECO purchased a copy of, and Mr. Marshall autographed The Creatures of Caprock Canyon for each student too! It was a great day to be in class to learn more about becoming a writer and an author!
