Choir Members Earn Medals

Twenty-three Levelland High School Choir students earned 33 medals at the Region 16 Vocal Solo & Ensemble auditions Saturday, February 6th on the LHS campus. Levelland hosted Littlefield, Muleshoe, and Shallowater and there were judges on all six campuses, due to the pandemic. Araseliy Solono received a Division 1 rating on her Class 3 solo. Richelle Riege, and Faylon Rico received Division 2 ratings on their Class 2 solos. Khloe Chavarria and Autumn Foster (not pictured) received Division 2 ratings on their Class 1 solos. Bree Montgomery, Grason Edens, and Meekness Childers earned Division 1 ratings on their Class 2 solos. The following students advanced to the State Solo & Ensemble Contest in the spring. Those who competed in Class 1 solos and received Division 1 ratings were Maci Coleman, Christian Corley, Lizzie Corley (not pictured), Spencer Owens, Machayla Parkinson, Ashanti Riddle, Kadi Salinas, Elyanna Solano, and Crockett Thetford. Two madrigals also advanced: Grason Edens, Brody Johnson, R.J. Lopez, Theresa Martinez, Jasmin Melendez (not pictured), Faylon Rico, Elyanna Solano, Crockett Thetford, Khloe K. Chavarria, Christian Corley, Lizzie Corley, Spencer Owens, Olivia Palermo, Ashanti Riddle, Kadi Salinas, and Tiah Taylor. Congratulations to these 2021 Texas State Solo and Ensemble All-Staters!
