CTEMonth: USASkills Contest

During CTE month, students in Khris Oaks' Culinary Arts class share the cakes they decorated for the Virtual SkillsUSA Contest. The SkillsUSA contest's purpose is to evaluate each contestant’s preparation for employment in the foodservice industry and to recognize outstanding students for excellence and professionalism in the commercial baking and pastry arts field. These students in this CTE class, college-bound or not, will have what’s needed to succeed in life: technical skills, academic skills, and employability skills.
