LISD loves our CTE classes! LHS students in Mrs. Kim Hill's HOSA Future Health Professionals class competed virtually in the HOSA Competitive Events Program. These competitive events enhance leadership, support technical development, and prepare students to be in the medical world after high school. Six students placed in the competition and three students are moving forward to the State HOSA Virtual Competition. Those placing are: Home Health Aide-Senior Kalgarie Oaks 2nd place (going to State), Medical Reading-Senior Michaela Watkins 5th place, Nurse Aide-Senior Mallory Magana 5th place, and Senior Kyara Childers 4th place, Extemporaneous Writing-Senior Holly Royal 3rd place (going to State), and Research Persuasive Writing and Speaking-Junior Kaylee McCarter 1st place (going to State). Congratulations girls, we are proud of you and are excited to know that you are prepared to be a Health Professional after graduation!
