FFA Week: CDEs

LISD continues to focus on National FFA Week and CTE Month. FFA offers the perfect career courses through CDEs. Career Development Events build on what is learned in agricultural classes and encourage members to put their knowledge into practice. These events are designed to help a member prepare for a career in agriculture by testing and challenging the student's technical, leadership, interpersonal and teamwork skills as well as their knowledge of the subject matter. CDEs answer the question, "When will I use this knowledge in the real world?" Levelland FFA offers Meats Judging, Wool Judging, Livestock Judging, Vet Science, Poultry, Wildlife, Entomology, and Cotton. This year we have 40 FFA members competing in these events and training for the Area Contest in April. In the past three years, Levelland FFA has had multiple State Qualifiers and they are looking forward to continuing that tradition this year!
