One-Act Play Prepping for Competition

LHS students in Miss Neeley Watson's One-Act Play are preparing for competition on March 9th & 10th at Estacado. Students are performing the play "These Shining Lives" by Melanie Marnich.  The play is based on the true story of four women who worked for the Radium Dial Company in the 1920s and early 1930s. The ladies paint the hour markers using a radium compound that glows in the dark and is assumed unharmful. The audience will be intrigued to see if the women find a doctor to help them with a diagnosis of radium poisoning.  We will all be watching to see how the One-Act Play members do in the contest!
